UEFA Investigating Four Real Madrid Players Over Atleti Match
Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior are under investigation by UEFA over alleged "indecent conduct" during Real Madrid's Champions League match at Atletico Madrid on March 12th. Real Madrid defeated Atleti 4-2 on penalties to advance to the quarterfinals.
UEFA said it has appointed an ethics and disciplinary inspector to study the unspecified allegations in the case, which also involves Antonio Rüdiger and Dani Ceballos.
The statement added that "further information regarding this matter will be made available in due course."
Video clips circulating on social media showed Mbappe grabbing his crotch during celebrations on the field for Madrid winning a penalty shootout. A potential ban would mean a player would be forced to miss Real Madrid's April 8th match at Arsenal.
